Team Wheelworx to rock Super 8 Comp at Mallala
Team Wheelworx has been invited to participate at this weekends Shannons Insurance Nationals at Mallala Motorsport Park.  This is the first time a drift comp has been included on the bill at the high profile Shannons Insurance events, and being just one week out from the following weekend Toyo Tires Drift Australia, the Tarmac Army are eager for the extra track time.

There will be only one Team Wheelworx car competing, as Paul ‘Aussie’ Austin flies solo into battle.  After a stunning 2nd place in the last round of the G1 Competition, Aussie has earnt his place in the 8 car field.

Competition will occur in front of thousands of circuit racers and spectators, many of whom have never seen the sport of drifting.  Apart from the new exposure opportunity, Team Wheelworx will also be utilizing the valuable track time to leverage their attack the following weekend at the DA event.

Paul ‘Aussie’ Austin – Nissan Onevia, RB25 Turbo
“Demo’s like this allow me a window of opportunity to further test and refine my car, and at the same time unleash some drift action in front of a new audience.  The car has a lot of power now, and our chassis development is heading in the right direction.  Expect to see me pushing the Onevia very hard over the duration of the demo.

Well done to all involved in allowing us to show off the sport to the circuit racers, and who knows maybe we might persuade a few of them to join our ranks.  I’d love to drift my way around the outside of a Porsche Cup driver!”

“When we were offered a spot at this demo we jumped at the chance.  For too long drifting has been frowned upon by the circuit racers, and this is our chance to show how professional, how fast and how skillful the sport can really be.

Aussie will fly the Team Wheelworx flag high for us, and I expect he will push the car further than he has before.  He is a gun at Mallala, and has proven himself out there time and time again.  Look for the blue car in the winners circle at the end”
